The Hyundai Sonata has always been a reliable and affordable choice for midsize sedan buyers, but it never really stood out from the crowd. That changed with the launch of the eighth-generation Sonata in 2019, which introduced a stunning new design language and cutting-edge technology features. Now, Hyundai has revealed the 2023 Sonata, which takes the sedan's sportiness and sophistication to a whole new level.
The 2023 Hyundai Sonata is more than just a facelift. It's a complete makeover that transforms the Sonata's image from a conservative family car to a dynamic, progressive, and futuristic four-door coupe. The new Sonata embodies Hyundai's "Sensuous Sportiness" design philosophy, which aims to create emotional value and desirability through harmonious proportions, sleek lines, and eye-catching details.
The new Sonata's exterior design is based on the N Line trim, the sportiest and most powerful sedan version. The Hyundai Sonata N Line features a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and paddle shifters. The N Line also comes with a sport-tuned suspension, steering, and brakes, as well as exclusive styling elements such as a black mesh grille, side skirts, rear diffuser, and dual twin-tip exhaust.
